Benny Cool roars aloud at Strandhotellerne
We got a request on Bamsefabrikken from Strandhotellerne who sought an appropriate and dramatic mascot to attract children and their families in mainly their vacation center SeaWest.
Together we went thinking and brainstorming, and the result was a lion mascot - pumped hard and muscular, smug and a little bit clumsy, and he has been named Benny Cool.
There were sketching and illustrating until everyone was satisfied with the appearance of the final Benny Cool mascot. Here is the Benny Cool logo:  A costume for the mascot Benny Cool was developed and put into production, so the mascot could be launched and fill his post as a full-time mascot for SeaWest.
The costume has a built-in electronic ventilation in the head, which is very comfortable for the person who appears in the costume, especially since the temperature in the water park can be quite high.
The mascot Benny Cool has his own unique concept and his own area at the Strandhotellerne website, where children can play, read stories or download the mascot's very own coloring book.
Strandhotellerne have also launched specific Benny Cool stays and deals, and you can buy a welcoming pack consisting of various Benny Cool merchandise.
Bamsefabrikken has produced the plush toy version of the mascot, which is a part of the Benny Cool welcoming bundle. The plush toy is an important merchandise because the holiday centre's child visitors, who have met and been happy with Benny Cool, also have the opportunity to take the mascot home as a plush toy or cuddly toy.

The Benny Cool mascot concept has proven to be an incredibly important marketing addition. Strandhotellerne have experienced great success with the concept. Lots of visitors are happy with the mascot, both the one appearing in a costume in the water park, the plush toy and all the other merchandise that support the concept.
